heated mattress pads This Topic Is Closed. But now we turn on the mattress heater before we even leave home, so everything is warm and toasty when we get where we are going. I know because I'm a driver myself. They are durable and built to last. I have no idea what the amp draw is but it doesn't draw down the house batteries if used.
yes with no problem Leave a Comment Report abuse
Yes, if the pad is 300w or less. Leave a Comment Report abuse
no I don't believe so, you need a higher wattage unit. My wife tried using a hair curler, rated at 300 watts, and the unit is a 300 watt unit, and it wouldn't run her device. Heating elements are a high watt consuming component. Leave a Comment Report abuse
As long as your heating pad draws less than 300 watts, it will. However, at its full output you must have a 12 volt connection that will handle its 25 amp draw from the battery source. If you connect directly to your battery be sure to install a 25 amp fuse inline. If you plan on plugging into a power outlet (cigarette lighter type) be sure your vehicle has at least a fuse and wiring to support the 25 amp draw.Heated Mattress Pad Amp Drawing

Dependant on the watt of the blanket you are using, the lower the better the unit will work. A camping specific heating blanket will work will lower watt units. Leave a Comment Report abuse
If its no more than 3oo watts continuos. If it is not printed on the heating pad you can calculate what the wattage is. Google the formula. Comments Comments Leave a Comment Report abuse
Yes it will. I've used it to charge a laptop and power large computer speakers. Obviously just make sure you use an extension chord to keep it out of your vehicle. Comments Comments Leave a Comment Report abuse
Shouldn't have any trouble with a heating pad. I'm a little unclear as to the type of pad being described in the question, if you're talking about an electric blanket... absolutely. Leave a Comment Report abuse
It will depend on how many apms your heating pad requires. It will power up a lap top and/or a mobility scooter battery. Leave a Comment Report abuse
