Enter Pem Pass Phrase
We've purchased and installed a wildcard certificate from GoDaddy and have everything basically working except for two things. Every time Webmin starts, it is asking for the pass phrase. If this is an automated action - no one is there to key in the passphrase - then Webmin fails to start.
I obviously lost https and vclient access to the box. Further troubleshooting told me that it wants me to enter PEM Pass phrase. This I found out by telneting to the server over 902 gives me a PEM Pass phrase prompt. So clearly https cannot start as it is being blocked by this pass phrase is my guess. Verifying - Enter PEM pass phrase: The above command will ask for the import password again, as well as a PEM password. Remember this private key passphrase, — we will need it when we add the RDP certificate to Firepower. But be sure to specify a PEM pass phrase. If you leave that empty, it will not export the private key. $ openssl pkcs12 -in keystoreWithoutPassword.p12 -out tmp.pem Enter Import Password: MAC verified OK Enter PEM pass phrase: Verifying - Enter PEM pass phrase: 2. Then we create a new keystore with this.pem file.
This is what it looks like when started by hand:

So, every time the system reboots or we edit Webmin's config, we have to pop open a shell and restart miniserv by hand so we can supply the passphrase. Apache has a way for this to be automated with the SSLPassPhraseDialog option:
It would seem reasonable that something similar could be done for Webmin. However, I'm not having any luck finding such a solution. I'd rather not try the route of stripping out the passphrase from the certificate.
The other thing is that we're seeing the following errors in the miniserv.error file:
Enter Pem Pass Phrase Xampp
I have only just begun to research this but any tips or pointers would be appreciated.
