The exe contains a Dataminer Trojan when launched. Nice try no cigar.

This zip file contains three .iso files of the game client, a text file, and lpesetup.exe. The .iso files are good, the lpesetup.exe however is an outdated version of the enhanced launcher which hasn't been updated since 2013, so I would not use that and instead download the latest launcher from swgemu.com.
1. mount disc one with a program such as daemon tools lite to start the install of the client. Eventually it will ask you to insert disc two and then disc three, when it does, just use daemon tools like to mount those discs.
2. When the client install is finished, run the latest setup.exe launcher that you downloaded from swgemu.com. There is a detailed guide on there website that steps you through this process.
3. Enjoy the game

Seems like a great game, I'll run some anti-virus scans for everyone's peace in mind.
Not likely a virus2018-09-152 points
I think Kurry is assuming it's a virus because this RPG is actually an MMO. I haven't tried to run a private server of any MMO for single play use since most of the ones I want to play like Project Torque, Lego Universe or Drift City are still being reverse engineered by community members that take a lot of their free time to bring them back to life. I will try with this game though.

I swear to the Force if this is a virus.

When it comes to video games, most of us would much rather use The Force for evil than good, according to data from Disney Interactive.
Star Wars: Commander is the first major 'Star Wars' game from Disney post-Lucasfilm, and is the first game to follow the new . In the game, players are forced to choose to align their base with either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire, and spend their time fighting in missions for their chosen party.

On Thursday, Disney Interactive announced that Star Wars: Commander had been downloaded 5 million times since it launched on August 21, and released some interesting stats about where gamers placed their loyalties. Overall, a majority of gamers (52.4 percent) chose to align their base on the site of Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and the Galactic Empire.
Interestingly, countries in the Northern Hemisphere were much more likely to align with the Dark Side, while those in South America, Africa, and India generally went with the Rebel Alliance.
The United States overall showed a preference for the Galactic Empire, which was chosen by 52.7 percent of all US gamers. That kind of makes sense given that most people in the US like Darth Vader more than most current politicians. 'The force is strong in North Dakota,' however, according to Disney, as the Peace Garden State was the only state in the union to side with the rebels.
What does this mean, you ask? Are we all just secretly evil people ready to send some Force Chokes and Force Lightning Bolts at those who wrong us? Probably not, as Star Wars: Commander is just a game. But when we play games, at least, it seems most of us would prefer to be Darth Vader than Luke Skywalker.
